1970s Fashion Viewed Through Contemporary Revival
My senior thesis revolved around the fashion of the 1970s and the revival of many the decade's trends in modern day clothing. Items used in the photographs were hand-selected at thrift stores and pulled from models' own closets to curate a collection of clothing & accessories relevant to the research.
Several outfits were assembled using clothing and accessories echoing 70s motifs.
Platform shoes, velvet, flared sleeves, corduroy, large-framed glasses, denim, and knitwear were all staples of the decade.
The detail shots below were edited to resemble Polaroid film, furthering the connection to the era with another vintage trend's concurrent reinvigorated popularity.
